#1 Inside with Brett Hawke

Our favourite podcast is Inside with Brett Hawke, which is hosted by the former Australian Olympic swimmer Brett Hawke.

  • We particularly like his laid-back informative Aussie style and provides extensive, interesting and entertaining interviews with some of the top swimmers and coaches from around the world.
  • Inside with Brett Hawke also has an extensive back catalogue of interviews

Take an intimate look inside the minds of swimming’s highest achievers with one of the world’s best swim coaches, Brett Hawke.

  • As a swimmer, Brett swam in two Olympic Finals (2000, 2004) of the 50 Free. He never did quite break 22 seconds (22.07), but he did take a 100 Free out in 22.5 to his feet once.
  • In college, he swam for Auburn University under legend David Marsh.
  • He won the 50 Free at 1997 NCAA’s in 19.19. After his pro swimming career, he became an Assistant Coach at Auburn University.
  • At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, he guided Cesar Cielo to victory in the Men’s 50 Freestyle.
  • Cesar’s gold medal swim was the first in Brazil’s history.
  • In 2009, after the sudden passing of Richard Quick, Brett led an inspired team of Tigers through an emotionally charged NCAA’s.
  • Most recently, Brett helped guide Bruno Fratus to a Bronze medal in the Men’s 50 Free at the Tokyo Olympics.
